That’s me in the future
The following letter was written on February 8 as a first prompt for the altMBA. It is a letter to my future self who has already finished the altMBA.
Hi Arjen!
I am very glad you are reading this. Not because it would've been a waste of time if you didn't but it allows me to let you know that I am immensely grateful that you did this altMBA thing. Know that I've always been proud of you, and, damn, do I like the person you've become! Remember how you were often stuck in your beliefs, doubting whether the paths you chose were the right ones or not? I love that new determination you show. It suits you. I enjoy how you turn your ideas and beliefs into words and share them with the world, helping those around you find their way to freedom and self-expression. You are thinking more calmly and clearly than ever before, and I can only admire how smart you work at making your dreams, and especially the ones of those around you, come true. I cannot wait to see what's next and will support you in any way no matter what.
Thanks for having me around,
Arjen
It’s been three weeks after finishing the altMBA. And the first time I read this letter again.
Right after the altMBA I did feel determined and strong.
Tired, too.
The determination has worn off but the dreams are still there. Time to re-ignite that spark. Time to revisit my dreams and give them the platform they deserve: this blog, social media, and, in general, the people around me.
So, let’s start by revisiting all prompts I wrote/made for the altMBA and see what the learnings are. 13 prompt to go. ±13 days.
